Allen Dulles

Allen Welsh Dulles (1893 — 1969) was the first civil­ian direc­tor of the CIA, and the longest-serving chief in the his­tory of the agency.

Dulles led the CIA from 1953 to 1961, dur­ing the height of the Cold War, and lost his job in the after­math of the Bay of Pigs fiasco.

Dulles is buried at Green Mount Ceme­tery, 1501 Green­mount Ave., in lot 51 of the McDo­nough area.
