Allen Dulles

Allen Welsh Dulles (1893 – 1969) was the first civilian director of the CIA, and the longest-serving chief in the history of the agency.

Dulles led the CIA from 1953 to 1961, during the height of the Cold War, and lost his job in the aftermath of the Bay of Pigs fiasco.

Dulles is buried at Green Mount Cemetery, 1501 Greenmount Ave., in lot 51 of the McDonough area.
